The Phantom Targets antenna objective is less about fighting and more about reading Arc Raiders' map language correctly. "Cargo Elevator" sounds like a special facility, but it means the large extraction structure with multiple doors and a raised upper platform. Before loading into a raid, check the ARC Raiders Items you already own so you can keep the trip light and leave room for useful loot.
Start With the Right Structure
Look for an extraction elevator with a rooftop framework and radar-dish equipment mounted above it. The interaction spot sits beside the antenna assembly, usually on the upper scaffolding, not at the elevator doors or somewhere in the nearby terrain. That distinction saves a lot of wasted time. If you're standing at a normal extraction console and no antenna prompt appears, you're probably at the wrong part of the structure.
Which Maps Make the Job Easier
Dam Battlegrounds, Spaceport, and Riven Tides are the safest starting points for this Project step because they contain the Cargo Elevator setup described by the objective. Some player reports also point to The Blue Gate, so check the active Project tracker rather than trusting an old route from memory. Stella Montis and Buried City shouldn't be your first picks for this task, since their extraction layouts don't match the antenna arrangement needed here.
Map Route value What to watch
Dam Battlegrounds Good for a direct attempt Open approaches and enemy movement
Spaceport Useful for linking locations Long travel between exposed areas
Riven Tides Valid alternative Confirm the elevator before committing
Three Interactions, Not Three Risky Runs
You need three antenna upgrades. The progress can carry across raids, so a safe one-and-out plan is often better than forcing a full circuit while carrying a strong loadout. From what I've seen, players lose more time by getting greedy after the first interaction than by returning for another run. After reaching the roof, hold the interaction button until the bar fills, then open the map or Project menu and check the counter.
A Quick Roof-Top Checklist
The antenna prompt may stay visible after the upgrade registers, which makes the objective look broken. Trust the Project counter instead of the icon. Use this routine every time.
Approach from cover and listen before climbing.
Check for ARC activity and nearby Raiders.
Interact beside the radar dishes, not at the elevator doors.
Wait for the progress bar to finish completely.
Move away from the roof before checking the tracker.
Extract if the route ahead becomes crowded.
Do This, Not That
Don't sprint across open ground just because the next elevator is technically closer. A longer route through cover gives you more time to hear threats and less chance of arriving while another player is already using the area. Keep healing supplies, avoid an overloaded inventory, and treat the rooftop as a temporary objective zone rather than a place to linger. I could be wrong but, in most raids, patience matters more here than raw DPS.
Rewards and the Next Preparation Check
Finishing all three antenna upgrades awards Combat Mk. 3 (Aggressive), Heavy Shield, and Vita Spray. Those rewards help with later ARC encounters, but the following Phantom Targets steps ask for specific parts and damage types, including Pop Triggers, Wasp Drivers, Leaper Pulse Units, fire equipment, energy weapons, and launcher ammunition. Store those items when you find them instead of selling everything for quick currency. When you're ready to stock up, the ARC Raiders Bp for sale listing can be another reference point, while the Project tracker remains the authority for your actual progress.
