The Arc Raiders Jump Mine Trial rewards preparation more than firepower. Many players look for the biggest ARC unit, place an Explosive Mine nearby, and expect an easy score. The better approach is to understand which item the objective means, then use the map to keep several targets within one blast. Before entering, check your ARC Raiders BluePrints and bring only the support equipment your chosen setup requires, because extra preparation also increases raid risk.
What the Trial Actually Requires
The Trial's "Jump Mine" wording refers to the Explosive Mine. It is not a separate inventory item, so searching for that exact name can waste time before the raid even begins.
Progress is based on damage dealt to ARC units by the mine. The listed milestones are 1,000 points for one star, 2,000 for two, and 3,000 for three. The objective can be attempted on any map, but map geometry strongly affects how practical each method becomes.
Target Density Beats One Large Machine
A single Bastion is easy to understand: guide it toward the mine, wait for a useful position, and trigger the blast. The problem is its limited scoring potential. One heavy target may provide some progress without reliably reaching the first milestone.
Several smaller ARC units can produce a stronger result when their bodies overlap the effective blast area. Shredders are especially useful for this purpose because they can be moved through narrow rooms, doorways, and other confined spaces. A reported solo attempt reached 8,110 points by gathering Shredders before detonating one mine, though that result should be viewed as a player example rather than a confirmed record.
◆ Use one heavy ARC for a quick learning attempt.
◆ Gather several smaller units when chasing three stars.
◆ Treat target placement as the main scoring task.
Two Setups Worth Choosing
Water Treatment
The upper landing near Water Treatment on Dam Battlegrounds is a practical option for a three-star attempt. Its entrances can limit movement without requiring a long cross-map escort. Place the mine near the center, then use Snitch Scanners and nearby terrain to keep targets from drifting too far away.
Stella Montis
Stella Montis offers a higher ceiling through enclosed passages and Shredder groups. Doorways, ladders, and barricades can reduce escape routes, but building the stack takes time. Other Raiders, unexpected movement, or a destroyed barricade can end the setup before the mine is ready.
Choose Water Treatment when the goal is reliable progress. Choose Stella Montis only when a larger score justifies repeated attempts and a greater chance of losing the raid.
Timing, Safety, and Extraction
Pick the detonation area before collecting targets. The best location has limited exits, a predictable approach, and enough open floor that walls do not absorb the useful part of the blast.
Place the mine late whenever possible. Early placement can trigger the device before the group arrives and prevents you from adjusting its center. Barricades should guide movement rather than completely trap the Raider. Keep your own escape route open, especially when several ARC units are focused on you.
Extraction is part of the plan. Trial progress needs to survive the raid, so stop gathering targets once the intended milestone is realistically within reach. Spending the entire raid on a perfect arrangement is only worthwhile for players deliberately pursuing an extreme score.
For most players, the smart Arc Raiders Jump Mine route is simple: use the Explosive Mine, select a compact space, gather multiple ARC units, and leave enough time to extract. Check your ARC Items before committing to the run, then match your equipment to the goal rather than carrying unnecessary risk. The mine fires in an instant, but its score is decided by everything you do beforehand.
